Welcome to the Home of the BECK Speedster and BECK Spyder 550
Special Edition, Inc. was
formed in the early 1980's and has been instrumental in the evolution
of the Specialty Automotive industry. Working closely with Puma,
Envemo, Lafer, and several other Brazilian manufacturers, Special
Edition, Inc. pioneered the "Pre-Assembled Body Package". This concept
allowed the average sports car enthusiast to construct their own dream
car, without specialized assistance in painting, wiring, and upholstery.
By 1986, Kevin Hines of
Special Edition, Inc. and Chuck Beck of Beck Development formed a
partnership and the concept of easy to complete, high quality
replication was applied to the classic 356A, 550 and the newly designed
550S.

A Note From The Director's Desk
Hello, and thank you for visiting our website. We are pleased that you would consider becoming an owner of a BECK Speedster ®, 550 Spyder, 904 GTS, or our newly re-introduced Limited Edition 1964 356C Cabriolet.
Our family business is entering the 2nd generation of management with my son, Carey Hines, taking on more of the responsibilities of the company. Those of you who may follow the web based Speedster or Spyder Forums have read his posts and seen the remarkable level of Customer Service and one on one personal attention he provides to each and every potential customer, current owner (whether they purchased new or used), and even the owners of the competitors cars.
He also heads the shop where all of the builds take place, and gives each project the individual attention it needs to become not just a car, but a treasured member of the family.
We are proud to be entering the 30th year in this business, and thank everyone who has trusted Chuck, myself and Special Edition, Inc. to provide the car of their dreams.
