2009 Full Custom Beck Speedster NO EXPENSE SPARED See Details Below
2009 Beck Speedster NEW Custom Built w/ Fuel Injected Porsche Powerplant
This Beck Speedster was spec'd by a client who is forced to sell due to financial situations. This is one of the most highly optioned and "no expense spared" air-cooled speedsters built.
There are a lot of custom touches and one HELL of a engine/transaxle combo. Please view all of the specifications below, and feel free to call with any questions you may have regarding this build.
At the request of the client, the body went through a special process of long board blocking & baking that was repeated several time to ensure the smoothest body finish and a glass like paint job. The paint is 4 coats of vintage Glasurit Porsche Saturn Yellow, topped with 4 coats of Glasurit clear. The paint on this car is absolutely phenomenal!
All of the exterior trim on the car are restoration quality, sourced from Porsche. This includes the belt line trim, rocker deco trim, and bumper deco trim.
Since the car was to reside at the beach, additional steps were taken to ensure the chrome trim items would stand up to the harsh salt enviroment. The wheels, mirrors, horn grills, tail light bezels, headlight bezels, turn signal bezels, hood handle and license light housing were all POWDER COATED with a special clearcoat powder. They still have the shine of the new chrome, and will stay that way for a long time to come. The rest of the exterior trim items are either polished stainless or polished aluminum.
Dual durant side view mirrors.
Rear reflectors.
Chrome headlight grills (basket style)
Carrera style louvered deck lid.
Custom bent front overrider bar, and original restored rear split overrider bars, with OEM bumper guards were fitted to a NEW set of bumpers. (I didn't like the way the overriders fit to our stock bumpers, so I made a new set of molds off of an original set of steel 356A bumpers)
Custom widened chrome Mangels 5x205mm "wide five" wheels, wrapped in new Michelin Hydroedge tires. Spun aluminum skins cover the disc brakes to give the appearance of the original aluminum drum brakes.
Airkewld's BAD series disc brakes on all 4 corners. 2 piston Wilwood calipers in the front. Single piston Golf calipers w/ e-brake in the rear. Hidden Wilwood proportioning valve to dial in brake bias.
Stainless steel brake hoses throughout.
Braided stainless -6 fuel feed and return lines with AN fittings.
Braided stainless -8 oil ines with AN fittings.
Braided stainless -8 breather lines with AN fittings.
DUAL Setrab oil coolers with seperate thermostats.
Fully adjustable Koni racing shocks on all 4 corners.
Original style 356A seats.

Simpson racing lap belts.
Ivory interior knobs, with original style 356A bezels on the dash.
Nardi Ambition wood/aluminum shift knob.
Nardi Anni 50 390mm wood steering wheel.
High end Eclipse head unit, coupled with a Rockford Fosgate amplifier and an 8 speaker Infinity sound system. Visiable speakers had the trim rings painted to match the body color, and the grills recovered to match the interior.
The entire interior was sprayed in Lizard Skin sound deadening and then covered in an additional layer of Dynamat style sound deadening material before being carpeted.
The engine compartment and front trunk also recieved the same Lizard Skin treatment, topped in a specially blended Zolatone paint.
The gas tank was color matched to the body.
Dash grab handle.
Meistershaften dash badge.
Authentic VDO instruments, Speedometer converted to MPH.
Additional VDO gauges: Clock, Cylinder Head Temperature, Oil Pressure.
